SNP: Scekic, Ivanovic and Djurovic for vice president posts

At tonight’s session of the Socialist People’s Party Executive committee, Berane mayor Dragoslav Scekic, chairman of the Podgorica SNP committee Dragan Ivanovic and Danijela Djurovic from Herceg Novi have been nominated for the vice-presidents of the party. Srdjan Milic and Snezana Jonica have not attended the session.

Also, Veselin Bakic has been elected as party’s director, whereas Milos Rajkovic will be the party’s spokesperson.

After the session SNP leader Vladimir Jokovic told reporters that election of five vice presidents was planned. He did not rule out possibility of choosing the remaining two vice presidents among the committee members who were not at the session tonight.

He claims that there was the quorum for the session.

“The service found it, I did not count,” Jokovic said.

The SNP leader denied allegations that 67 members of the Executive Committee sent him a letter expressing dissatisfaction with his work, and that it was retaliation against them because they voted for Jonica.

“It is not true that the letter was sent in that sense. The letter was sent but it was not signed by so many members and it referred to some internal affairs in the party,” Jokovic said.
