Ministers of Finance and Social Welfare and Economic Development, Milojko Spajic and Jakov Milatovic, respectively, say that the Social Council, consisting of the Government, trade unions and the Union of Employers, has supported the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare’s program called “Marshall Plan – Europe Now”. It is promised that this plan implementation will provide money to increase the salaries of workers as of the beginning of next year. Spajic claims that according to some unofficial information, the Montenegrin economy will grow by 13% this year.
According to that plan, in the next year, contributions for health insurance on salaries will be abolished, and salaries up to the gross amount of €700 will not be taxed.
The reduction in duties for which an employee’s salary should be increased will amount to 17%, the minimum salary will be increased to €450, while the average net salary due to these measures will be increased to €700.
