Significant shifts in the direction of relieving salaries cannot be expected immediately after the introduction of the non-taxable part of wages, so as not to further jeopardize the functioning of the pension and health care system. However, the Secretary General of the Union of Employers of Montenegro (UPCG), Suzana Radulovic says for Dnevne Novine that after that move by the Government, the time should finally come to further relieve the costs based on salaries.
She especially refers to the current epidemiological situation, due to which our country is on the “red list”, and the possible consequences in the coming period.
“The Montenegrin economy has not yet recovered from the consequences of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which indicates that a number of companies, judging by the information we receive from representatives of micro and small companies, could not ‘survive’ the new lockdown”, Radulovic points out.
