Prime Minister Milojko Spajic is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the first since the establishment of diplomatic relations, during which the first Memorandum on Cooperation between the two countries was signed.
Spajic and Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice President of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) Hamad Faisal Al Malki signed the Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of science, innovation and technology at the Fund’s headquarters in Manama.
After the signing ceremony, Spajic also met with the Economic Development Board of Bahrain (EDB), which represents a kind of think-tank with the aim of promoting and attracting foreign direct investments.
On that occasion, EDB representatives informed the Prime Minister about the activities carried out in terms of economic development and presented the results of work in the field of diversification of economic activities.
In this context, the policy of attracting talented personnel from abroad, which includes incentive measures for housing, education, health and social protection, is considered significant.
The success and growth of the economy, as they assessed, is strongly based on competitive business costs and a stimulating business environment, as well as on digitization and strengthening of public services.
The meeting stressed that in order to achieve the best results, it is necessary to facilitate the establishment of companies quickly and efficiently through direct contact and building trust between institutions and investors.
