The decision of the Defence Minister, Dragan Krapovic, to deny accreditation for today’s news conference to certain media outlets sends a bad message and I call on all the ministers to keep their events, i.e. their appearances open for the press, the Prime Minister, Milojko Spajic, said.
In the Port of Bar, where he attended the destruction of confiscated cigarettes, he told reporters he wouldn’t have done it if he had been in his position.
Asked by reporters if he’d consider dismissing Minister Krapovic, he didn’t rule out a possible government reshuffle.
PM Spajic also confirmed government’s support for Podgorica Mayor Sasa Mujovic regarding the construction of the Botun wastewater treatment facility, warning that failure to implement the project could cost the country up to €100 million and might slow down the closure of Chapter 27.
On the protests of Cetinje residents in Krusevo Zdrijelo and whether he would meet them, the Prime Minister said the meeting would be held tomorrow.
“We’re going to discuss all the topics they’re interested in, and I’m convinced both the State and its citizens should strive to find a joint solution, acceptable for both sides.”
Commenting on the statement of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, following the resistance of MPs to discuss the election of the 5th judge of the Constitutional Court, he said it was very important for that court to operate in full capacity.
