According to unofficial information of the CdM portal, the state revenues from contributions to pension and disability insurance were far below the projected in April this year. At the same time, the revenues from income taxes were the lowest in April 2022 if we don’t count the 2020 data having in mind the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s up to the new government now to determine whether a certain number of employers are late with paying liabilities on the basis of taxes and contributions, or there’s a trend of informality in the labor market.
In addition, lower revenues from pension contributions and income taxes are not in line with the latest, revised data of MONSTAT, suggesting that the number of employees exceeded 40.000 over the past year, of whom 10.000 worked in public sector.
Revenues from contributions to pension and disability insurance and income taxes are supposed to grow faster having in mind that the number of employees has increased significantly.
