From 1 January to 30 June 2018, Montenegrin Public Property Administration was entrusted for safekeeping over 40 flats, 7 business premises, 5 houses, 30 cars and 2 water scooters. The assets were seized from their owners based on the Law on Seizure and Confiscation of Material Benefit derived from criminal activity.

Seizure and confiscation of material benefit derived from criminal activities were done upon the initiative of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, the National Police, High Court in Podgorica, as well as the basic courts in Ulcinj, Nikšić, Rožaje, Pljevlja and Bijelo Polje.

Beside all the above-mentioned immovables, the state seized land, forests and fields in Podgorica, Berane and Danilovgrad.

The state even managed to confiscate some luxury cars, including Mercedes, Land Rover, Audi, BMW and Volkswagen Golf 7.

Authorities went even further and seized 5 tons of drugs, after which the Public Property Administration announced it had already established a commission for destroying it. Illicit narcotics were destroyed in a boiler room of ‘Javorak MB’ company based in Nikšić. Not that anyone feels sorry for that.
