Tactics changed: No DF’s protest to support Medojevic

Democratic Front (DF) is not planning on organising protests in front of Parliament during the sitting on lifting Movement for Changes (PzP) leader Nebojsa Medojevic’s immunity, Pobjeda learns. According to the newspaper’s source, the reason is the summer heat in Podgorica and also the uncertainty when this item of the agenda will be discussed during the sitting.

“The sitting is scheduled for Thursday, but lifting immunity is the tenth item of the agenda. Since it is not certain that the item will be discussed on Thursday, it would be inhuman to call on citizens to protest, having in mind current weather conditions,” the source said.

DF said its MPs would participate in the parliamentary debate using arguments to point out the unsustainability of the accusations against Medojevic.

It also said it would insist on chief state and special prosecutors Ivica Stankovic and Milivoje Katnic’s presence at the sitting.

One of the DF leaders Andrija Mandic hinted such a possibility when he called Katnic to attend the sitting during the discussion on lifting Medojevic’s immunity.

The Special State Prosecutor’s Office has charged Medojevic with being the head of an organised criminal group dealing with money laundering for financing DF’s campaign ahead of and after parliamentary elections.
