Fugitive MP and advisor to Dritan Abazovic, Filip Adzic, tried to spin information about the continuation of storage of tobacco products in the Free Zone of the Port of Bar during the response to MPs Medojevic and Mandic, saying that it was a consequence of the storage ban. While your head is probably cracking from this acrobatics, it is important to know only one thing – that Adzic stated this during the visit to the Port of Bar by the DPM Dritan Abazovic, director of the Revenue and Customs Administration Aleksandar Damjanovic, head of the Anti-Crime Department Dejan Knezevic and chief expert team of the Council for the Fight against Corruption Vanja Calovic Markovic, all stored tobacco products were registered.
Vanja Calovic Markovic immediately reacted publicly to this claim. “Untrue are Filip Adzic’s allegations that during the last visit to the Port of Bar…, no inventory of stored tobacco products was performed in our presence”, said Calovic Markovic.
Ambassadors meet opposition
What message is the EU sending by taking pictures with the leaders of the parliamentary opposition? Many interpret this as support for a transitional government, as a hope that pressure can be created from the outside that would reduce the potential damage from the political reshuffling of this government by greater involvement of the opposition. Unfortunately, I see in this another tick and providing a sense of fake hope that the destructive behavior of the authorities can be stopped.
While calling for peace and dialogue, preparations for the Fundamental Agreement continue, and government politicians support the destructive ideas of the Church of Serbia. It is interesting that the mere mention of these facts is considered blasphemy and an attack on peace and order, because someone smart remembered that one should close one’s eyes until the danger passes. As if sweeping ethnic and other differences under the rug has ever worked anywhere. We should talk about everything without taboos, and not force a fake and forced dialogue with the moderators who have long ago clearly sided with one of the parties.
State of diplomacy
While Minister Djordjije Radulovic is playing Teletubbies with videos that look like Tick-Tock, and while he probably lives the time of his life at the UN General Assembly insulting former chiefs from the ministry, the media briefly reminded us these days that we do not have ambassadors in more than half of countries and international institutions to which Montenegro has representative offices.
Reshuffling games
URA is now entering an open conflict with the Prime Minister because he indirectly supported the agreement between the DF and the Democrats.
Democrats are attacking Dritan Abazovic for meeting more with DF leaders than with his party’s deputy leaders. This sounds logical because there is a huge difference between what Abazovic says and what Marovic and Djurovic say.
The DF now reads in URA’s statement that Abazovic wants a government without Zdravko Krivokapic.
To me, all this looks like a market claim, which would be good if it could escalate, but it is unlikely that it will happen, because no one, not even a government like this, cuts the branch on which it sits. This is stretching and showing power before a new deal. And the worst thing is that the agony and their survival will be paid for by the citizens.
Parliament v. President
The Constitutional Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro adopted the SNP’s initiative that the Parliament should consider the proposal for initiating the procedure for determining whether the President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic violated the Constitution. Seven MPs supported this proposal, and six were against.
Look at Budva, choose Montenegro
Everything that is happening in Montenegro has already happened in Budva, and that is not good.
It is not good because Budva tells us:
that they would say everything to each other, that they would even grab each other by the throat, only to reconcile in the end,
that URA will become irrelevant and that it will soon be possible to form a government without it (strange enough),
that many from the former government will join the DF and the Democrats,
that the government will, at its discretion, selectively attack and threaten investors, as Krapovic is doing these days.
Montenegro a statistical error
The vice-president of the Association of Citizens CIVIS and professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Mara Scepanovic, said during the RTCG’s morning show that “Montenegro is a statistical error on the world map”.
The UCG professor is known to the Montenegrin public for her earlier statements.
She claimed in a show last year that the referendum was stolen in 2006.
