Late last night I wrote an analysis of the election results in Herceg Novi, and you can take a look at it here. In short, the trend from Nikšić continues, in which support for the DF is melting in favor of the Democrats. The big surprise is the local list. URA is not succeeding in growing in Herceg Novi either, and it is obvious that it is slowly but surely moving to the margins of political life in Montenegro. Last night, the DPS surprisingly announced that civil Montenegro had won in Herceg Novi and that it saw room for cooperation with everyone with whom it shared values. The others mostly celebrated. While the DF commented on the results as a “victory of the Serbs”.
Election day went without major incidents, except that at one polling station, citizens were forbidden to vote until they took off the masks with the coat of arms of Montenegro.
The Prime Minister voted in Bijela, although he does not live there. Is it about tax evasion for the house for rent, as they drew my attention yesterday during a walk in Podgorica?
Victory Day and Europe Day
Yesterday, the Montenegrin SUBNOR marked the Day of Victory over Fascism and the Day of Europe in Podgorica. Thousands of Podgorica residents and citizens from other Montenegrin cities joined the walk organized by Alliance of Associations of Fighters of the People’s Liberation War (SUBNOR) to show the current PM Zdravko Krivokapić that he celebrates anti-fascism and European values. In the evening, the protest convoys continued throughout Montenegro.
After 50 years, SUBNOR was ignored by the Parliament of Montenegro and it was not invited to lay a wreath at the monument to Partisan Fighter in Gorica. Mr Bečić justified himself by saying that SUBNOR insulted and ignored him in the previous period. Shame.
Relations with Vučić getting better
PM Zdravko Krivokapić continues to offer himself to Serbian authorities. He said yesterday that communication with state officials of Serbia existed and that he was very satisfied because of that. In an interview for Nova.rs, he said he had talked to President Aleksandar Vučić and PM Ana Brnabić several times. “I believe that mutual visits at the highest state level will follow soon”, PM Krivokapić said. He complained a little to the Belgrade audience because he was misunderstood as a believer, but he also justified himself because he had to dismiss Mr Leposavić.
Minister Injac’s silence
Although Minister Olivera Injac built her career as an expert with the great help of NATO, and on NATO topics, although she participated in the campaign to promote this organization, she makes decisions that are contrary to the interests of our allies and our alliance. Starting from Sinjajevina, to the appointment and dismissal in the military-security department. She was asked in Parliament on Friday to state her position on the mission of Montenegrin soldiers in Kosovo, which she refused to do. She is not even ready to take a stand on the most sensitive topics related to integration. In these 6 months, she has shown greater loyalty to the Serbian church than to the state, and blind obedience to PM Krivokapić.
Moderate Fr. Gojko and miraculous Vesna Bratić
Fr. Gojko Perović wants to be presented by Mr Željko Ivanović as the voice of reason and the conciliator of Montenegro, although Fr. Gojko shows his extremism every now and then, and although Fr. Gojko is clearly and unequivocally and perfidiously implementing the Greater Serbia agenda. In addition to blessing internet warriors to spread hatred throughout Montenegro, he now calls Ms Vesna Bratić, who turned the ministry into a Chetnik lair, a miracle.
What binds URA and Peter Handke?
Apart from Austria, how does URA draw Europe’s support through the Greens there? The answer is Mr Muharem Bazdulj, Kusturica from Ali Express, a columnist for the Belgrade nationalist press, who rejoiced a few days ago with Mr Peter Handke, a friend of Mr Slobodan Milošević, and a genocide denier against Messrs. URA has been walking around Montenegro with this Bazdulj for the last year, and it also recorded a video where he supports URA before the elections in Nikšić. All in all – nice.
