Good morning! While war is raging in Ukraine, Montenegro and Serbia are the only countries in Europe where support for Russia has been organized, and Dritan Abazovic was present at one of those events; negotiations on the government are continuing, although Bulajic, who is allegedly meeting with Russian intelligence, will not convene a session.

Dritan’s joy
After video clips appeared on the Internet in which Dritan Abazovic attended a nationalist feast of extremist organizations together with the mayor of Budva and the director of the Agency for Coastal Zone Management at the head of the table, and after a fierce reaction in the country and abroad, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke out to “explain” it was a charity evening. The video from the opening shows that it is the celebration of the Stupovi Orthodox Brotherhood, an extremist clerical organization of the militaristic type, which is part of a wider network of such organizations, which includes Niksic’s Tvrdos, Saint Panteleimon and Miholjski Zbor from Tivat, and several smaller organizations in other Budva cities. They are closely connected with the Russian “Night Wolves” and “Sorok Sorokov”, whose coordinator for Montenegro is the former honorary consul of the Russian Federation in Montenegro, Boro Djukic.
Nationalist Islamophobic songs were sung at the rally, Russia and Serbia were glorified, and Abazovic himself was insulted by those present.
Even during the failed blockade of roads by the Front, the flags of Russia and the unrecognized Donetsk People’s Republic could be seen sporadically, and at yesterday’s religious procession organized by the Orthodox Church of Serbia (SOC) in Podgorica, the central place behind Serbian Metropolitan Joanikije II was taken by the white-black-golden flag of imperial Russia, which is used today by neo-Nazi extremist groups in Russia.
Continuation of government negotiations
Last week, President Milo Djukanovic organized a series of talks on forming a government over the weekend. He first talked to the SDP and the SD, and it seems that the SDP is hesitating about supporting the government. Whether because of the principles, or because they expected to be part of the government, the SNP was categorically against, after which Dritan blew it away – we cannot know. The SNP, DF and Democrats did not respond to Djukanovic’s call. Negotiations with URA and Bosniak Party continued yesterday, after which first Konatar and then Ibrahimovic said that the conditions had been met for Abazovic to be the prime minister.
What remains a big problem, however, is obstruction and sabotage by the DF and the Democrats. Strahinja Bulajic refuses to schedule a parliamentary session. Both Pobjeda and Vijesti wrote with great confidence that Bulajic met with the operatives of the Russian SVR (foreign intelligence service), about which both the ANB and Abazovic are silent to this day. Bulajic confirmed that he was meeting with someone, only for those meetings he claims that they were meetings with diplomats from both the East and the West, with whom he has been increasingly meeting after the election.
After spending time with bikers and brothers from the fraternities, Abazovic urgently traveled to London. Why he is there and what he is doing, and whether he has returned, we have no idea. We are standing in the dark, waiting for things to be resolved everywhere except in Montenegro.
CdM finds out what the government could look like in principle. You can read information about it here.
That’s it for today. See you tomorrow at the same time, in the same place.
Kind regards,
