The Constitutional Court lacks judges, and the complaints that will be received now regarding the local elections will block the announcement of the election results. Therefore, the new government will not be able to take over the municipalities almost anywhere. Blockade after blockade. It serves us right. When there is no democracy, then bureaucracy takes over.
All this was started by URA with its combinations related to the Constitutional Court and the Judicial Council back in August, when the Fundamental Agreement was a priority. When politics starts to rape the legal system, then there is no end to the shenanigans.
URA and SNP, the biggest losers among the winners, the parties that together remained small in terms of citizen support, have been selected to run the entire administration, as my colleague Miras Dusevic noted very well.
We have a prime minister who in the City of Podgorica remained far below 10,000 votes, who barely entered the parliament in Budva, whose party does not exist in some corners of the country. We have SNP which is practically shutting down, which did not pass the census in the most important cities, which holds as many as 6 ministries! On the other hand, we have Europe Now, which with 20% in Podgorica, has no representatives in the Parliament.
That’s why Abazovic is making plans to postpone the parliamentary elections, until the spring of next year, to organize them together with the presidential elections, and then after the total victory of the Serbian parties, which they have planned, to organize the census as icing on the cake. Parliament is already ready to vote on it at the plenum. Imagine next year and a campaign in which all the media, which are now majority owned by companies from Serbia, the Serbian church, and the Serbian state, will be involved. Many will understandably want to go into voluntary exile.
Many, but not SD, which is overjoyed with the election results, judging by the statements of its officials. SDP is still silent, but they and SD have lost the least, because with a coalition with DPS, with very little effort, they preserved the number of councilors from the last time. They even increased it at certain places. They will now enjoy the role of systemic opposition. Sinecures without responsibility. Comfortable opposition. Montenegrins from reservation.
While Tihomir Dragas, the Europe Now official who is licking his lips while standing between Milatovic and Spajic on the front page of Vijesti, is preparing to take over the intelligence sector and threatens us with lists, just like Dritandid at the time. Just when I thought that the luck in the accident is that Spajic and Milatovic are not suffering from power like Abazovic, that as a new dominant force, they will be more dangerous for Montenegro, but less tense and chaotic, the unstable and aggressive Dragas appears, the owner of many public and secret Twitter profiles, to threaten critics with lists.
I imagine this Twitter ayatollah, who made a name for himself by insulting and threatening on this social network and got to the top of the list in Europe Now, in a leather coat, devising intrigues and blackmails, which he will have fun with in his idleness.
There are so many bad things in Montenegrin politics, and perhaps the worst phenomenon is the accumulated frustration of the people who will be in office in the coming period – Dragas, Filip Ivanovic, Olivera Injac and similar former sure DPS votes, who never lacked anything, who had all the benefits of life in independent Montenegro, a mountain of opportunities and comfortable jobs at UDG. What frustrations are they healing? How were these people threatened?
But who knows why that’s good. An endangered Serb, a worker of Radoje Dakic, or a neglected and forgotten farmer from remote Mala Crna Gora, from Piva, may finally open his eyes and realize that he was not neglected because he is a Serb, and that he has his doppelgänger in many Montenegrins who share the same fate and misery only because they were equally distant from the authorities. Both the former government and the current government did not choose candidates based on ethnicity, but on obedience. Thus, the aforementioned were favored both before and after. As a good communist, Nikolaidis will say that the problem is a class problem, I will say that the problem is a lack of freedom, but the essence is the same – the story of Serbia is not a story about improving the lives of Serbs in Montenegro, it is a story about the conquest of Montenegro for the purposes of the idea of Greater Serbia and Serbian Orthodox Church, an extractive system for which people are not a resource, but only votes in elections and referendums. Fuel for unproductive and parasitic political parties.
