Good morning! The Democratic Front (DF) seems to have waited for Putin’s invasion to block Montenegro, the deal seems to have failed, and Democrats and Milacic continue to incite Bulajic to obstruct Parliament; Cetinje mayor to be elected on Monday; CPC protest in Podgorica today; who and how condemned Putin’s moves in Ukraine.
Has DF lost patience?
American writer and screenwriter Bruce Firstine said that the distance between madness and genius is measured only by success. That’s where I can see DF. Let’s face it, it’s an evil genius, an archetypal mad scientist. The DF has populism at its fingertips, and if it members were not as corrupt as they are, they would have ruled Montenegro a long time ago, and we would be some kind of autonomous region or province within the autonomous Republic of Serbia within the Russian Federation. Since the change of government, the DF has been playing a game of nerves with the rest of the ruling majority, obstructing their work, threatening to deny support, and in the end, Abazovic will be the one who will actually overthrow the government. Frankly, they didn’t have much choice, because the rest of the ruling majority treated them like lepers who are only there to raise their hands, and to be satisfied with the crumbs they throw from the table.
Another genius is how they planted a coward’s egg on the Democrats when Zdravko Krivokapic’s movement hatched. Although it was expected that the man who left the DF list would do the most damage to the DF itself, his movement, judging by the results of the municipal elections, enters exclusively into the Democrat electorate.
Observing the behavior of DF, some regularities can be recognized. As they threatened to overthrow the government, they are now threatening to “block Montenegro”. The blockade is there, but it is not happening. It is as if they are learning from their supreme commander, who, by threatening to invade Ukraine, is keeping the whole world in suspense. And it is very interesting how this threat of a blockade is happening in parallel with the events with Ukraine. The DF is threatening to take 10,000 people to the streets, at a time when all the world’s attention is focused on Ukraine, when our security sector has been crater-punctured. If they are serious, and they must be, because this time there is no Abazovic to do for them what he did by overthrowing the government, we are facing a period of great challenges.
By the way, none of the “pro-European” Democrats and “pro-American” Spajic supporters dared to condemn Russia’s behavior in Ukraine. Djukanovic did it, a little milder Abazovic did it too and also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as many opposition parties.
We can only guess whether the DF, whose leaders were convicted in the first instance for a coup planned with the Russian security services, is coordinating its blockade with the Russians, who are sending Patrushev to the Balkans again these days. It is the same Patrushev who took Russian agents out of Serbia by plane after the failed coup in Montenegro. According to Slaven Radunovic, the DF’s reason for the blockade is betrayal by everyone, and now the SNP, which seems to have agreed on the Parliament session. Milos Konatar also confirmed that the majority exists. The DPS continues to blindly support the minority government unconditionally, and says it will not obstruct its work in any way as long as it is on the European path.
Democrats now want to provoke a constitutional crisis by insisting that it is not constitutional for the President to give a mandate twice after one parliamentary election. That is why both they and Milacic are inciting Strahinja Bulajic to obstruct the work of Parliament. Everything is there for a recipe for chaos that seems to be spontaneously or intentionally prepared, just before the summer season in which there will be even fewer tourists from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, before the season in which it seems that the stillborn Air Montenegro will die out, from which director Todorovic is now fleeing.
Electing Cetinje mayor on Monday
The session of the Cetinje Parliament, at which the new mayor of Cetinje will be elected, is scheduled for 28 February. Previously, the proposed decision on the termination of the mandate of the Mayor of Cetinje, Aleksandar Kascelan, will be presented at that session. Also, they will vote on, among other things, the proposed decision on confirming the decision on temporary financing of the needs of the Cetinje Budget for the period from 1 January to 31 March, as well as the proposed decision on dismissal of the President of the Cetinje Radio and TV Council. While the head of the Council is being replaced, Zadrima is said to have already changed his side so as to save his position.
CPC protest today
Although it was announced that a solution for electricity supply is possible because CEDIS allegedly instructed the Municipality of Niksic to sign the Agreement on Temporary Connection to the Power Distribution System and the Agreement on Power Supply to King Nikola’s Summer House and the Episcopal Palace of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church (CPC), Bishop Boris Bojovic called this an attempted deception. For that reason, the protest announced for today at noon in front of the CEDIS building in Podgorica is not canceled.
