Yesterday, PM Zdravko Krivokapic met with representatives of the parliamentary majority. Most of the parliamentary majority representatives who gathered there would not pass the census, but they do not mind shaping our destiny. Here I mean Movement for Changes (PzP), Real Montenegro, United Montenegro, the Labour Party and similar political microorganisms. But I veered off topic. What is the epilogue of the conversation? The dissatisfaction of the Democratic Front (DF), the principledness of URA to keep the Government expert? Are they aware that by the work of this Government and the selection of staff they have so compromised the notion of experts that their so-called principledness now looks ridiculous?
The DF members said that the negotiations were going hard and that they had not agreed on anything. Milacic, who now acts as a spokesman for the Prime Minister, said the Prime Minister would have to have an answer by tomorrow.
In general, the Prime Minister “wisely” cut 16 ministerial and three DPM posts. Including him, it is 20, or if DPMs choose some of these 16 ministries – then it is the 17 apostles of Krivokapic’s New Testament. URA does not accept politicians in the Government, and the Democrats say that then the Government will be completely without politicians, which means the withdrawal of Dritan Abazovic.
Nebojsa Medojevic will soon accuse the former owners of Vijesti that their distorted version of reality produces a non-party factor from URA, while “some other rules apply” to them from the DF.
Echoes of Pandora Papers
While we are waiting for the show tonight in which Vanja Calovic and Milivoje Katnic will face off, the President once again reacted from Brdo near Kranj to the RTCG journalists’ accusations. Although the news appeared yesterday that the EU seeks an investigation, EU Ambassador Oana Cristina Popa said that they did not comment on individual cases.
Echoes from Cetinje
Members of the extremist, pro-Russian group Night Wolves, in addition to other pro-Serbian extremist organizations, were apparently engaged to protect the Cetinje Monastery in anticipation of the enthronement of Serbian Metropolitan Joanikije II on 5 September, Pobjeda has learned from a document it had access to – the minutes from the hearing of Zeljko Vukcevic, one of the leaders of this motorcycle association.
They should have been rewarded with the same money as their police colleagues. Minister Spajic, find funds in the budget for the Night Wolves, when you have already found it for the gendarmerie.
There is only Serbian language
The Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics (IHJJ) condemned the latest linguistic policy of the Serbian authorities and their thesis that the Croatian language is only one of the names for Serbian and said that it was absurd, scientifically unsustainable and inaccurate.
The grammar textbook of a group of authors named From Words to Deeds intended for eighth grade students in Serbia states that Serbian, Slavic, Macedonian and Bulgarian languages belong to the group of South Slavic languages, and that Croats, Bosniaks and some Montenegrins call Serbian language Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin.
Stijovic’s private feud
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, pays variables in earnings non-transparently, without criteria and semi-secretly, even in the mandate of the current Minister Aleksandar Stijovic, claims Pobjeda’s source from the Ministry. This, the source points out, continued the practice that existed in the former ministry during the rule of the DPS. Pobjeda writes that the variables in earnings were issued to DPS young people who went to the field, and that they are now paid to Stijovic’s friends, while other employees have been left out. Pride next week
Ahead of the 9th Pride, which will be held in Podgorica on 16 October, Danijel Kalezic from the NGO Queer Montenegro was a guest on City TV and appealed to everyone to get vaccinated against Covid-19. The Pride will be organized in accordance with the epidemiological measures, and how exactly, it will be known once new measures are adopted by the authorities on 10 October.
Arrests ordered by the Kremlin
Last week, the public was pretty deaf to the fact that two big businessmen were arrested in Montenegro on the orders of the Kremlin and were waiting to be extradited to Russia. Without going into whether they are guilty or not, I think that our police should have acted more carefully according to the demands of the Kremlin. Russia’s law enforcement agencies are notorious for politically prosecuting people, but even though they are guilty of the crimes they are charged with, there is evidence of numerous human rights violations in Russian prisons and in general by Russian security services. Therefore, this should be approached with great caution.
