Ibrahimovic to schedule a session?
Due to the refusal of the Speaker of Parliament Bulajic to schedule a parliamentary session in accordance with the law and the rules of procedure, there is a possibility that the deputy prime minister from the caucus with the largest number of MPs, Ervin Ibrahimovic from the Bosniak Party, will schedule the session instead. Such a scenario is possible according to SDP MP Draginja Stankovic Vuksanovic, while the Democratic Front and the Democrats strongly oppose it. Democrats oppose it so much that Bogdanovic comments on this possibility on the verge of racism when he says that it is not done even in “the least developed African countries”? Why is Africa a synonym for undemocratic practices for Bogdanovic, and not Russia or Belarus?
Dritan to get mandate today?
URA deputy leader, Filip Adzic, has told TVCG that he expects that today Dritan Abazovic will get a mandate for the composition of the new European government. Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic has completed consultations on the prime minister-designate for the composition of the minority government. While waiting for his decision, URA says that one option is the most realistic. “I think that only one name has crystallized very clearly as a potential candidate for the composition of the future government, and that is Dritan Abazovic. I expect that tomorrow Abazovic will get a mandate for the composition of the new European government”, Adzic has said.
On political government
The question remains as to how Abazovic intends to form the government. The editor-in-chief of CdM, Boris Darmanovic, commented on various scenarios for the election of the new government for the Gradska TV. “I think that forming a political instead of a minority government is a way to respond to such challenges. In the past period, we had something that most citizens did not believe in – that global powers, primarily Russia, influence political events in Montenegro. Resolving the situation in Montenegro will depend on the reaction of Europe and NATO, and all that will definitely help the DPS”, he stated and added that the DPS will take advantage of it.
Reactions to Ukraine

Yesterday, MANS called on the Government of Montenegro and line ministries to inform the public without delay about concrete measures to be taken so that the territory of Montenegro would not become a safe zone for hiding the property of Russian oligarchs under threat or international sanctions.
CGO called on the leadership of the University of Montenegro (UCG) “to stand behind yesterday’s reaction of many members of its academic community, and thus send a clear message of how UCG as an institution sees the situation in Ukraine”.
The Montenegrin public knows that the UCG chancellor rpresented Russia’s strategic interests in the Balkans, as well as that he is the founder of the pro-Russian propaganda portal IN4S.
Humanitarian action for Ukraine
Yesterday, the Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vukovic, met with the charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine, Natalija Fijalka, on the occasion of the humanitarian action for the citizens of Ukraine, which was initiated by the Capital. The humanitarian action organized by the Capital will start today at Independence Square and will last for several days.
“We invite all fellow citizens to, in accordance with the possibilities, take part in this action. The population of Ukraine currently needs the following groceries and items – clothing, footwear and thermal underwear, blankets and bedding, food (non-perishable) and drinking water, disposable cutlery, first aid kits, sleeping bags, tents and mattresses inflatable, heaters, personal hygiene products (diapers, tissues, sanitary pads), lamps and sterilizers, batteries, energy banks, mobile phones, radio, walkie-talkies, laptops or tablets, liquid canisters with a capacity of 10 to 20 liters”, says Podgorica.
Lists and coalitions for Berane and Ulcinj
While there are not many surprises in Berane about the election list, except that Premovic, who is protesting against protests and barricades, is led by European leaders in Berane now, a very interesting coalition was formed in Ulcinj, which included URA, SD and SDP.
Easing measures
Epidemic measures are expected to ease tomorrow, outgoing Minister of Health Jelena Borovinic-Bojovic has announced, RTCG reports. “We expect and sincerely hope that in the next 15 to 20 days we will go towards the abolished Covid certificate. As for the basic elementary epidemiological measures, we will follow the further situation and guidelines”, the minister told reporters.
