Echoes of congrats

Prime Minister’s congratulation on the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska was widely spread in the country and abroad. Some people were judging him, and a female civic activist even urged him to recognize Republika Srpska. The DPS MP, Mr Andrija Nikolić, has noticed that the reason behind congrats was the fact that both Mr Krivokapić and Mr Abazović are in power thanks to “the Chetnik leader Mr Andrija Mandić”. Mr Medojević noted that 80 per cent of voters of the bloc “For the Future of Montenegro” believed that the government should send a delegation on the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska, and made a joke about Mr Krivokapić’s inconsistency, who’s now in power as a result of his support.

In an interview with the Belgrade tabloid ‘Večernje Novosti’, the President of Republika Srpska, Ms Željka Cvijanović, mentioned her phone call with PM Krivokapić and noted that the conversation was “pleasant and optimistic”.

Situation in healthcare system

Health Minister, Ms Jelena Borovinić Bojović, told the press today that they changed the coronavirus lockdown rules. According to her, intercity traffic will be allowed on weekends, and people from abroad will be able to enter Montenegro without coronavirus tests. She used the opportunity to attack the former government, primarily referring to the delays in Covid vaccination, as it’s still unknown when Montenegro will get the vaccines. Ex-minister Hrapović reacted on the accusations of the lady-minister, after which followed another response of Ms Borovinić Bojović.

The DPS criticized the latest coronavirus measures, especially the fact that travelers would be able to enter MNE without a negative coronavirus test, assessing that it might be dangerous for public health.

While she’s been preparing a new wave of dismissals in the Clinical Center, the head of this center and a daughter of the MP, Mr Radulović, accuses her colleagues of dishonest work and fake sick leaves, while frontline workers are on the verge of complete collapse.

Dismissals in administration continue

As already announced, a large number of heads of administrations and agencies was dismissed yesterday. While the DPS challenges lawfulness of their dismissals, the reaction of the minority Albanian List was interesting, as all their officials were dismissed even though they had been invited to take part in the new government. Mr Nimanbegu perceived this as a sign of fake call for minority nations to take part in this state.

Terror of billboards and tarpaulins

The “Serbian World” has been flooded with religious murals and billboards, and many compared this situation with Tehran after the so-called Islamic Revolution. Deputy Editor-in-chief of the CdM portal, Ms Aleksandra Obradović, talked with Mr Dragan Bursać, an activist and journalist from the town of Banja Luka, and Mr Miloš Vukanović of the CGO, to discuss this topic.

Pressure on court?

As deadlines for the final decision on the verdict for the 2016 coup attempt are approaching, Mr Milan Knežević, who had been convicted of plotting a coup, enters into public discussion with judges of the Supreme Court. The final verdict in the coup case will be an important test for the new majority, as it might stir a series of rallies thus staggering the already shaken government in the country.

That’s all for today. Until tomorrow.
