Rich ministers
Yesterday, the media dealt with the property records of the new ministers. Many of the ministers have enviable funds in their accounts. The balance on the account of the Minister of Finance Mr Milojko Spajić, who owns 250,000 euros in cash, 150,000 euros in bitcoins, but does not own real estate or a vehicle, attracted the most attention. Mr Medojević could not help commenting on Mr Spajić, whom he regularly accuses of the borrowing-related corruption.
Partisan Appointing at all levels
Even though the new Government has promised to make discontinuity and professionalize public administration, they are appointing most loyal party supporters and closest relatives to public administration positions. Judging by the list of allocated positions, DF did the best. Functions are allocated illegally, as it had been done in the past. Open vacancy announcements that should open the administration to the people with expertise were obviously blatant pre-electoral lies. Reactions of the civil society, even those closest to the new government, are pretty negative. We could expect today to see “we’ve been kidding”, “The UDBA set us up” etc.
Who has offered 21 million?
Dan yesterday wrote that the Special State Prosecutor’s Office started investigations and questioned Mr Dritan Abazović about the threats made to him, as well as about the attempted corruption in which he had been offered €21 million. Let us remind you that the businessman Mr Daka Davidović made this known to the public and that Mr Abazović confirmed it on Vijesti television. However, even two months afterward, we still do not know who offered Mr Abazović money or who exactly threatened him.
Anschluss of Serbia over Montenegro
Taking over the Montenegrin state, and now the Montenegrin economy under the guise of fighting against authoritarian rule, is a process that is happening before our eyes and more of us are becoming aware of it. Anti-fascist activists in Serbia also notice this. The analysis by Mr Aleksandar Sekulović has made quite an echo in the region.
Letter from Vukić Pulević to Žarko Rakčević
Professor Dr. Vukić Pulević, the academician of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Duklja Academy of Sciences and Arts, sent an open letter to Mr Žarko Rakčević, President of the Political Council of the Civil Movement URA, former MP of Montenegro and Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro. More and more people are leaving URA due to recent events, which prove that the party no longer controls any processes in the new majority.
Budva’s Lukashenko
This is how URA now speaks about its former local boss. After they were written off at the local level now that they no longer trusted, Blažo Rađenović, the leader of URA at the local level and former advisor to Lazar Rađenović and Srđo Popović, now call Mr Carević an autocrat and usurper of power. What Mr Rađenović now condemns Mr Carević for and why is he calling for his removal can be read here.
Zoronjić vs Bosniak Party
URA’s MP Ms Suada Zoronjić, who saved Filip Adžić from raising his hand directly and handing over the temples to the Serbian Orthodox Church, accused the Bosniak Party of trafficking in the victims of Srebrenica. The Bosniak Party, on the other hand, says it will run again for the Srebrenica Resolution and again expose the URA, which refused to include the document in the agenda of the last session.
The reaction of the civil society to government work
Civil society is shyly beginning to criticize the work of the new government. CGO (Center for Civic Education) has called on the government to fulfill its promises regarding concessions for Mini Hydro Power Plants, whereas Mr Dragan Koprivica from CDT (Center for Democratic Transition) has warned that this mandate of the assembly is starting to resemble the previous one and that such work could risk stagnation in the integration processes.
Threats to Skala Radio
Skala Radio, which has long been the subject of ridicule and attacks by officials of the new government in Kotor, is under constant attacks on social networks, which yesterday turned into open threats of physical liquidation. This behavior must be stopped.
That’s it for today. Read you tomorrow at the same time.
