Technical instead of minority government?
The SNP is prolonging the government formation due to pressure from the coalition and resistance from within. Last week, Abazovic announced the formation of a technical government instead of a minority one. While Becic is already rejoicing at the protests, talking about the failure of the minority government, maybe Abazovic sees this as a way out of the situation and a way to relieve himself of the burden of responsibility. The DF welcomed this assistance from Abazovic and offered a technical government composed of non-party figures or a government composed of politicians. It seems that Abazovic is trying to preserve the current parliamentary majority with such maneuvers, at the same time opening the door for the Front to enter the government.
The Front continues to fuel tensions and blackmail Abazovic with threats of blockades and protests, while Becic and the Democrats are doing what they do best – touring the field through protests, strengthening the homogeneity of membership. For the weekend, they were in Niksic and Zabljak. In Niksic, they waited for Abazovic in front of Niksic RTV and shouted things at him, while he provoked them behind the security.
Christian Democrats / Europe Now are rapidly losing importance. Spajic is taking part in the protests, but is invisible. Krivokapic rewards the militant Miholjski Zbor for participating in the protests with grants from the budget, but as things stand, that story with the party is doomed.
SDP’s fate
After Konjevic justified himself for Djuraskovic’s low attack on Nemanja Batricevic, Andrej Nikolaidis and Aco Radoman, he managed to call Mija Popovic Gospodski Kastor (Lordy Castor) in the show hosted by Senad Pecanin, alluding to Kranjcevic’s poem that was taught at school in Konjevic’s time. The poem is about an old dog who unquestioningly “licks the heels” of his lord for a piece of “fatty sausage”. In the SDP, the nervousness is obviously growing, because when this comes from the proverbially sober Konjevic, then within the party there is a growing awareness that the support they have been struggling to collect in the previous year and a half is rapidly melting. One of the leaders of the New York diaspora, Esad Rastoder, who withdrew his support for this party.
Abazovic hit the NGO sector
The statement of the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic that, in addition to politicians, mafia and criminals, and NGOs are among those who stand in the way of Montenegro’s European path, is part of the public discourse of leading politicians for whom we have thought there is no more space on the public scene after the 30-year rule of DPS, says MANS.
Kovacevic is the new mayor of Pljevlja
Rajko Kovacevic is to be the new mayor of Pljevlja, CdM has learned. He will succeed the former head of that municipality, Igor Golubovic, who resigned on 10 February after the controversy over graffiti dedicated to Ratko Mladic. Rajko Kovacevic was a DPS MP in the Parliament of Montenegro for three terms, he served as a spokesman for the DPS, and for two terms he was the head of Milo Djukanovic’s cabinet.

Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic participated in the 58th Munich Security Conference.
Djukanovic had a number of bilateral meetings. He met with Lajcak, but also with the leader of the Belarusian opposition, Svetlana Tikhanovski. He also met with regional leaders, Prime Minister of North Macedonia Kovacevski and Slovenian President Pahor. The conference was marked by the crisis in Ukraine, and the speech of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky attracted the most attention, criticizing the West for not imposing sanctions on Russia, but waiting for the invasion to begin, only to react then.
