Ten to Eight – Watch Budva, Choose Montenegro

Good morning! People who deal with political predictions do not need to worry much about where the 30-August winners will take Montenegro if they are allowed to continue to rule – it is enough to look at Budva.

Watch at Budva, choose Montenegro

Budva patented political changes in Montenegro as early as 2002, when pro-Serbian parties and LSCG took power. The result was such that DPS took absolute power in the first following elections, and soon after that, after the restoration of independence, it rose to over 70% of support.

Such support never works, because people relax and start messing up and stealing. But it is much better to create more, in order to steal more, than to steal without investing. Since Budva was denounced for those years of theft, I would like to remind you that the city’s budget before the world economic crisis amounted to almost €100m, that we were preparing to buy our own firefighting plane, that the Rolling Stones and Madonna came to our concerts, that over 100 hotels of various sizes and categories were built.

Two boulevards, an elementary school, a kindergarten and a waste water treatment plant were built, new streets were also built, distant villages were connected. Every project was followed by an affair, but every affair ended up in court and in prison. Two mayors and dozens of associates served prison sentences. And mind you, all this happened in about eight years. Then the government was replaced.

The current, new government, in the establishment of which, lucky me, I participated, has been in power for six years, and what have they done? Except that they stole and steal with the same intensity, if not more.

Who are our mayors? Who are our directors of public companies? Scum, people suspected of engaging in criminal activities, people usurping thousands of square meters of state land. What have they done for these years, and what did they promise? Where is the theatre, where is the Culture House near the old post office? Where is the restored catholic church at Mogren? Where is another school? Does anyone remember the promenade over Grdjevica? Parks, playgrounds? Have they regulated storm-water, or are many still afraid that with every new rain they will have to buy a complete set of furniture again? Where is the landfill, where do we dispose of waste and sludge from Vjestica? Have they listed the municipal property? So, apart from stealing, employing their relatives and party soldiers from Pljevlja to Ulcinj, and our town is governed by a guy from Mojkovac, they haven’t done anything in six years.

And not only do they do nothing, but they also chase away investors. The ones who can’t be racketed. Look at what they brought us to when it comes to Sveti Stefan. They are probably hoping to terminate the lease with the lessee, return Sveti Stefan to state ownership, and have the government pay hundreds of millions in damages. All this so that Vido Andjus, Blazo Radjenovic or some tourism mag would take over the management of the hotel from the villagers.

Then Sveti Stefan (originally Montenegrin Scepangrad) could officially change its name to Sveti Djovak, strategically connect with the Meat Industry from Velika Plana, or Carnex, organize Workers’ Sports Games or even better – Zadruga reality show. The Karadjordjevics should then be returned the summer house and a “traditional” swimming for the cross organized, bed linen and eating utensils for the private accommodation of hotel and municipal officials could once again be stolen. An orthodox-socialist paradise of the Putin type.

That’s a recipe for Montenegro. There’s just one big problem. Where could the money for this perpetuum mobile come from? Someone will have to work for all that? I’m just wondering who. Probably cocaine planters in Ecuador?

And DPS is still to blame for everything. But it is not the DPS’s fault. It’s about those who repent and become turncoats. There are many of their former officials filling the ranks of the ruling parties in Budva. One of them is URA’s list holder. High school headteacher and sports centre director from the time of DPS. You can see how successful he was as an official if you enter any of these institutions.

That’s it for today. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Kind regards,
