Theresa May congratulated Đukanović

Tereza Mej

Prime Minister of Great Britain, Theresa May, congratulated our President, Milo Đukanović on his victory, pointing out that she hopes that the two countries will continue working with joint forces against destabilizing Russian activities across Europe.

“On this occasion of celebrating 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our nations, I’m looking forward to strengthening our bilateral relations, as well as developing cooperation within NATO, where Montenegro’s role is precious. I’m particularly grateful to Montenegro for the solidarity it showed after the incident in Salisbury”, said May.

British Prime Minister said she was glad to have the possibility to collaborate with Đukanović in the forthcoming months, while the preparation for the summit is in progress.

“I welcome strong dedication of Montenegro for the Euro-Atlantic vocation. Economic reforms, strengthening of the rule of law, fight against corruption, development of strong institutions, are vital for both the future prosperity of Montenegro and your progress in European integration. We will definitely keep supporting Montenegro in its efforts”, said May.
