Thirty-seven workers left Uniprom KAP

Thirty-seven workers, engaged by the company ‘Uniprom KAP’, left the Podgorica-based Aluminum Plant, KAP, these days.

According to Pobjeda daily, out of 37 workers, seven were fired, i.e. the company didn’t need their services any more, while the others voluntarily quit. Pobjeda also says that there will be more lay-offs in the coming period as Uniprom doesn’t need so many people in the factory.

The owner of Uniprom – the Nikšić businessman Mr Veselin Pejović – announced in early March that 600 employees of that company would be fired, which would cost the country nearly €10m for paying out severance payments to them.
