As of last night, Montenegro doesn’t live in a world without rules, as some people said. It witnesses dictatorship of the 2020 ruling majority, which was overthrown on the day when Zdravko Krivokapic’s government fell.
By adopting the amendments to the President Law, the parliamentary majority formed after the 2020 elections, attacked the constitutional foundations of Montenegro.
Montenegro witnessed violation of the Constitution, democracy and legal order. This is not about a party or some political leader. Their move undermined both the system and institutions.
Montenegro’s entering chaos. And the consequences might be immense. The country is in danger, institutions undermined, whereas peace and stability are being threatened.
