The exact price of the construction and technical characteristics of the Hydro power plant “Komarnica”, with the accompanying facilities, will be known in May next year, after the completion and adoption of the conceptual project and feasibility study. It’s already been predicted that around 1.000 workers will be engaged in the construction of the new facility.
The investment and technical documentation for the construction of Hydro power plant “Komarnica” is being completed and, so far, a significant volume of hydro, geological and geodetic bases has been put.
“Construction of “Komarnica” is of great importance for the entire electric power system of Montenegro. Its power is expected to be more than 160 megawatts”, said Ivan Mrvaljević, executive manager of the Directorate for Development and Engineering in the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG).
The water will be used for the generation of electricity but it will also create possibilities for the tourist affirmation of the entire region and it will also stimulate development of agriculture.
