The police suspect that Rnkovic stole €9,840 and a gun “CZ M-57 (TT)” cal. 7.62 from the apartment of I.D. in Podgorica yesterday.
Police officers subsequently received a search warrant for the apartment the man from Kolasin has been living in.
“A search of the house was made today, during which the police found €3,600 and a gun, which, as suspected, was stolen the previous day from the apartment belonging to I.D. from Podgorica, as well as ammunition of the same caliber – 7.62 mm”, the National Police communicated.
Since Rnkovic was not in the house at the time of searching, a blockade on the road Kolasin-Podgorica was set and police officers were searching for him.
About 4PM, police officers noticed a vehicle ‘VW Golf III” on the road Kolasin-Podgorica with Podgorica registration plates, driven by Rnkovic, while Perutic was in the passenger seat.
“Rnkovic broke through the police blockade in the locality of Mioska, after which he faced another one which he failed to break through,” the National Police stressed.
In fact, in attempt to stop the vehicle driven by the suspect, police officers shot at the wheels. Rnkovic stopped after that.
“After searching the vehicle and the suspects, three bags with about 250g of powdery substance were found. It is suspected that the substance has been heroin which was intended to be placed on the market,” the Police said.
After consultation with the Prosecutor, the case was taken over by the High State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica.
“Rnkovic will be brought to the Deputy High State Prosecutor in Podgorica on suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotics, preventing official persons from performing official duties and theft. Perutic will be brought to the Deputy High State Prosecutor, on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs and preventing an official from performing official duties,” the Police specified.
No persons were injured in the incident, whereas one police vehicle was damaged in the blockade breaking.
The drugs and other items that have been found will be sent to the Forensic Centre for expertise.
