The paediatrician unit of the Podgorica Health Centre continues extraordinary vaccination of children aimed at achieving timely vaccination and improving the vaccination rate in the City of Podgorica.
About 700 children have been vaccinated in the Podgorica Health Centre in the past twenty days.
Last weekend, on 9 and 10 September, extraordinary vaccination was organized in the health care units in the Blok 5 and Stara Varos neighbourhoods.
Paediatricians of the Podgorica Health Centre conducted examinations and vaccinated children according to the vaccination calendar.
Out of 145 children who were invited to get vaccine, 134 responded and 113 were vaccinated.
“We understand parents who have dilemmas about vaccination, because they are bombed with quasi-information that blur the truth. Once again we remind them that immunisation is the best protection against infectious diseases and the cheapest and best quality remedy. Diseases such as morbils, pertussis, rubella, mumps, hepatitis B cannot be prevented if a child does not receive the vaccine. Therefore, the Podgorica Health Centre will continue the vaccination campaign until every child in the City of Podgorica receives the necessary protection,” the centre stated.
