Two law suits of N Plus Group rejected

In two court proceedings, N Plus Group controlled by Oleg Deripaska sought to annul agreement and the annex to the agreement on cooperation, which Veselin Perovic, bankruptcy manager of the KAP, had signed with the Niksic-based company “Uniprom” on July 19th 2014.

As the daily Dan carried, the Russians launched the second lawsuit seeking to annul the contract on selling the KAP assets to the “Uniprom”.

Earlier, the Court had rejected the request of the N Plus Group’s attorney to order conducting a financial audit to determine how much the “Uniprom” had earned since managing the KAP. The expertise should also have shown whether the bankruptcy manager enabled the “Uniprom” to earn money needed for paying a part of the price for purchasing the KAP, by signing the contract on business and technical cooperation with the Niksic-based company.

Of total 24 million, Pejovic has paid a half of the agreed price in two instalments so far, and his company has been granted a six month extension, i.e. till mid-September this year, to pay the rest 12 million.

All previous requests and appeals of the N Plus Group and its daughter company, the Central European Aluminum Company (CEAC), have been rejected by Montenegrin courts so far.

The CEAC, a daughter company of the N Plus Group, has launched an international arbitration claiming almost 1 billion compensation.

The Russians believe that the Montenegrin authorities have violated their contractual obligations in 2009 and 2010, thus causing bankruptcy of the KAP.
