UAE the biggest foreign investor in Montenegro

The total inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the previous year amounted to €649.2m and it was 5.5% lower than in 2016. The largest amount of funds came from the United Arab Emirates with €112,6m, according to the latest data from the Central Bank (CBCG).

According to the CBCG’s preliminary data, the net inflow of FDI was increased by 27.6% and amounted to €474.3m.

The UAE is the biggest foreign investor in Montenegro with €112.6m invested. It is followed by Italy with €78.5m and Azerbaijan with €66m. Top ten countries that foreign direct investments came from also include Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Cyprus, Turkey and Spain.
