Senate of the University of Montenegro did not adopt the suggestion of the Faculty of Economy to exclude seven students from that Faculty due to cheating in several exams by using smartphones, smartwatches and earbuds.
Faculty of Economy cited that Disciplinary committee unanimously passed a decision that these seven students be excluded for six months. Certain professors reported students M. M. and A. P. for using smartphones, while V. V. used a smartwatch. It was established that J. G. and D. K. and M. F. also used smartphones, while E. D. used a phone.
Faculty of Economy cited that the certain students admitted to using these means in exams, while others denied it. Senate UCG believed that suggested penalties are exaggerated. These are the most serious sanctions that can be given to students.
“Faculty of Economy has a lot of students and it is probably difficult to monitor them during exams. They probably wish to make an example of these students”, Pobjeda daily learned from a source.
Regardless, Senate believed these penalties would be to severe, but the students need to be punished in any cases. They asked of their colleagues to suggest lighter penalties.
