Upon Katnic’s order: Predrag Stamatovic questioned

As CdM new portal learned, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has been questioned by police in the capacity of a citizen within the investigation on state aid granted to companies Krizma Trade and Melgonija Primorka Bar.

Special State Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic ordered Stamatovic’s questioning.

On 1 July 2010, the government issued €4m guarantee for €14.4m loan taken out by the company Melgonija Primorka.

The loan was secured by company’s property. The loan funds were allocated for settling obligations of Krisma Motors (€2.77m), whereas €6.55m was directed to Krisma Trade and €5.07m to Primorka.

However, workers were not paid, even though the loan was supposed to be used for settling unpaid salaries of workers, bridging service gaps, drafting social programmes and debts to creditors.

The owner of Krizma Group, Nebojsa Boskovic (51), was arrested in April on suspicion of being an organiser of a criminal group which gained more than €1.5m via computer fraud.
