Vedrana Rudan: The devil has come

Her book, collection of stories “Why do I curse” (“Laguna”), had its fourth edition in a very short time, and even after two hours of signing books in Belgrade bookstore “Delfi”, the line was very long with people even on the pavement outside the bookstore, it was reported by Blic.

Asked about the name of the book, Vedrana Rudan said:” I’m not the one cursing, it’s mine and yours fellow citizens. They are cursing because they have no money, no future, because they don’t believe in a brighter tomorrow. As for me, I am surrounded by the people I love, maybe I’m boring but that’s really important to me, and that is what keeps me going.”

She emphasized that puny Yugoslav trash after the terrible war which tore Yugoslavia apart became the owner of our lives, and we have to somehow live with that knowledge.

On a comment that she’s famous for not holding back she said that Croatian politics needs to be exposed. I am ashamed of it.

„We the citizens should finally recognize what kind of country we live in. I read in “Ekspres” today, authors of the article Tea Kvarantan Soldatic and Boris Raseta: ”…when the wave of refugees hit Croatia, nobody in power or in the opposition reminded of the fact that our country to has a role in bloody Syrian war that made millions of people escape. Today it’s not a secret anymore: three tons of weapons have been transported to Syria in 2012 and 2013 from airport in Zagreb… The weapons ended up in hands of ISIL…”, she emphasized.
