Vektra owes EUR 6 million to Pljevlja Municipality

Mirko Đačić

Financial situation in the Municipality of Pljevlja will be even better, believes Mirko Đačić, the mayor of this Municipality. These claims, according to him, are based on positive results the Municipality of Pljevlja achieved over the past 4 years despite the inherited multi-millionaire debt.

Đačić told Pobjeda daily: “Out of EUR 8 million of debt, the Municipality of Pljevlja repaid around EUR 7.5 million to the commercial banks, we implemented majority of budget goals, decreased the number of obligatory requirements and provided funds for many investments.”

But still, there’s a high tax debt.

“At the meetings with the Tax Administration, we always mention that ‘Vektra Jakić’ owes us a lot of money, and it’s up to the state, i.e. the Tax Administration, to collect reimbursement and allocate 70% of it to the Municipality of Pljevlja. Unfortunately, this is not the case and this company owes the Municipality of Pljevlja EUR 6 million,” explained Đačić.

The encouraging fact is that this company has gradually started to settle its liabilities, added Pljevlja Mayor, hoping for even more stable financial situation in this Municipality.
