Security situation in Montenegro is stable. In international frameworks, our country is considered to be a very safe destination, owing to efficient work of the police and all subjects in the security system, pointed out Director of Police Department, Mr Veselin Veljović, on the occasion of laying foundation stone for the new facility for special police unit.
“With diligent and professional work, the police will bravely work on creating safer environment for safe future of our children and incoming generations”, says Mr Veljović.
The new Special police unit facility will finally solve the problem of accommodation capacities for elite units of Montenegro’s police, that have been performing the most complex security tasks throughout their history.
“Special police sector and operational structures of the police which will be using capacities of this important capital project, will have the privilege to perform part of their tasks in the state-of-the art conditions and space. But they will also assume greater responsibility for continuing the maintenance process and improving high level of expertise and professional training of their members”, said Mr Veljović.
“Complex specialized training, joint training sessions and mastering skills together with police units in the region and beyond, are reason enough to state that special police are equipped to face the most complex security challenges”, says Mr Veljović.
Members of the special police are constantly achieving great sport results in the arenas in the country and abroad, which makes them ambassadors of our country.
“That deserves respect and serves as an example of professional and honorable presentation of Montenegrin police and Montenegro. The new facility will be a stronger impulse for our members to broaden their knowledge and skills and achieve even greater results”, says Mr Veljović.
He stressed that this was the third project very important for the improvement of working conditions of police sector.
“Police Department and Government are committed to strengthening their capacities, as it is prerequisite for achieving better results. Laying this foundation stone is particularly important for members of special police unit, as, my dear colleagues, you have been waiting for this for 20 years. You deserve it, because you have been exposed to the most difficult and most complex tasks and high risk tactic operations”, said Mr Veljović.
