Montenegro’s Police Department took over one-year long presidency over the Southeast European Police Chiefs in Association of heads of police of the South East states – SEPCA.
Director of Police Department, Mr Veselin Veljović, said this was a great honor for Montenegro and its police.
Mr Veljović announced formation of joint police and investigation teams with the aim of strengthening regional and international operational cooperation in combating organized crime, with special emphasis on identification and prevention of drug trafficking, weapon trafficking, human trafficking, as well as prevention of high-tech crime.
General Assembly discussed current and many other activities of the police departments in the member states.
Representatives of the police departments of Southeast European states adopted strategic document – Assessment of Danger from severe and organized crime SEPCA, developed in accordance with EUROPOL SOCTA methodology.
During its presidency, Montenegro will develop strategy and action plan for its implementation, together with relevant international partners.
