The fire that broke out today at noon in a factory near Aluminium Plant (KAP) in Podgorica has been extinguished, Civil Protection and Rescue Service stated.
The fire broke out in a warehouse and powerful explosions were heard.
“Employees who happened to be there informed us that it was a warehouse of some hazardous substances, which is why the detonations were so loud,” the Service’s commander, Andrija Cadjenovic told CdM.
Six vehicles and 12 firemen were engaged in fire fighting.
The fire was extinguished at 1:10pm.
“An efficient and high-quality operation of our officers prevented the fire to spread to other buildings that were in the immediate vicinity,” said Cadjenovic.
