Lunacek said she believed the process would be successfully completed.
“Because it is necessary to ensure free elections in order for the citizens to regain confidence in the electoral process,” she said.
During the debate on the draft resolution, she said that Montenegro was a success story, adding that it was already in the process of negotiating with the European Union and achieved an obvious progress, as Charles Tannock’s report showed.
She said that the report was well written emphasising the part related to further fight against corruption and organised crime, which is crucial for reform, as well as freedom of the media, NGO activities, protection of minorities and cooperation with LGBT population.
