The Appellate Court upheld the verdict sentencing Nemanja Vidmar to a total of 13 years and five months in prison for the murder of Luka Milic and illegal possession of weapons. The first instance verdict is pronounced by the judge of the Podgorica High Court Vesna Mostrokol.
Vidmar killed Milic in June 2015 in the Rajska Ptica cafe in the Zlatica neighbourhood in Podgorica.
After a brief argument, Vidmar went to his house and took a revolver, then approached Milic, who was sitting in the garden of the bar, from his back. He shot three bullets, two of which hit Milic. The judges of the Appellate Court ruled that the first-instance court gave clear reasons for all the decisive facts relevant to the adoption of the first instance verdict, which led to the conclusion that the conviction in relation to Nemanja Vidmar was correct and lawful.
The Appellate Court rejected as unfounded the allegations of the defence attorney that the accused had no intention of killing Milic, but that this offense was committed out of negligence.
