During the first 11 months of 2017, labor inspectors revealed more than 1,900 “unregistered” workers. Appropriate measures were taken to regulate the employment status for 755 illegally employed individuals.
The labor inspection representatives stated they have conducted 6,130 inspection controls so far in the field of labor and employment, out of which 1,200 controls have been conducted in trade sector.
“Specific number of guest workers without work permits could not register and hold their work permits in accordance with the law, as the Ministry of Interior cancelled their residency. Labor inspectors punished their employers for violating the law”, the labor inspection stated for Mina news agency.
According to data provided by labor inspection, it has issued 2,740 misdemeanor reports with fines amounting to €1,24m, for various offences within the scope of the law.
