According to these sources, the majority vote of no confidence to Djeka – and therefore to the local government – has already been provided, because the dismissal of the Mayor will certainly be supported by the Albanian party Forca, in addition to the DPS votes.
The vote of no confidence in the mayor and his government will be followed by negotiations on the recomposition of the local authority. The new government will certainly include DPS and most likely exclude Dritan Abazovic’s United Reformist Action (URA). Thus, a new Ulcinj authority should be formed between DPS, Forca and the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA).
In this case, the new Mayor of Ulcinj should be from DPS or Forca, while the status of Djeka and his coalition remains uncertain. Djeka spoke to high ranking DPS officials a number of times over the past ten days, reportedly asking that he and his coalition remain part of future broad local authorities.
President of Ulcinj DPS, Ijora Nrekić, said earlier that his party will certainly join the new local government of Ulcinj, rejecting the possibility of early local elections in this seaside municipality.
Forca, Coalition ,, For the future of Ulcinj “and Dritan Abazovic formed a local government in Ulcinj at the beginning of February 2014.
DPS is the single strongest party in Ulcinj, participating in the local parliament with nine councilors, while Forca has eight, and the coalition of Fatmir Djeka seven councilors. DUA has three councilors, SDP and URA two each, and DF and SNP one deputy each. Local Parliament has 33 members in total.
Meanwhile, leaders of Forca (Nazif Cungu) and DUA (Nikola Camaj), as well as an official of DUA (Mehmet Zenka) agreed on making of a common platform on political rights of Albanians in Montenegro.
Zenka confirmed for Pobjeda this was agreed at a joint meeting held on Wednesday. The meeting was not attended by the soon-former Mayor of Ulcinj, Fatmir Djeka.
