Vucic’s Gazimestan

Good morning! There are only a few weeks left until Vucic’s Gazimestan, so-called Great Easter Assembly or St. George’s Day Assembly. As things stand now, it seems that this grandiose idea will experience a debacle. Here’s why.

Vucic’s Gazimestan

Why is the Great Easter Assembly just a pale image of Milosevic’s Gazimestan? Because the Serbian World is only an echo of the echoes of the 1990s. Vucic’s primary interest is the preservation of power and corruption, and this whole monstrous structure would collapse if the Serbian opposition was not loyal to its spirit.

Dodik and Vucic had a long and thoughtful discussion in the presence of the Patriarch in mid-March. As a product of that conversation, the idea of the Great Easter Assembly was born – for the masses to gather. Dodik wants to save himself because the Americans have narrowed his space for action with sanctions, Vucic sees it as a big rally of SNS before the elections, while Porfirije dreams of his religious processions.

However, they lack spontaneity. Everything is forced and short-term. Unlike Milosevic, who spent years building a campaign that culminated in Gazimestan, one gets the impression that this new team does everything ad hoc. They are effective, but only in the short term. And they only think about themselves. In Serbia, the masses gathered until victory was achieved. Because those people won in 1991 when they occupied more than half of Bosnia and a great deal of Croatia. Before that, they peacefully annexed Montenegro, Vojvodina and Kosovo. Then there was the theft. Stealing started – wines from Erdut, ammunition sold to the enemy, etc.

Then they lost the war in 1995 and then in 1999. Then they lost power in 2000, only to return to it in 2013. Vucic had 11 years to do what Milosevic did in a couple of years at the end of the 1980s. But it couldn’t be done. First, democracy is in the way now. Second, Vucic’s immediate and wider environment had to get rich first.

That is why this assembly is a farce. The Serbian opposition also saw through it. They will not participate in it. Most are wisely silent. Only Pavle Grbovic said everything sharply and clearly about it. The civil sector is also sleeping soundly. This is proof that the grandiose project will be reduced to only a meeting of SNS across the Drina.

That’s how it was intended. “The Assembly of Serbia and the Srb Republic” they said, but then Dodik added Montenegro, which he is increasingly actively uniting with other Serbian countries. He invited those who laugh from Montenegro to come.

Milan Knezevic responded to Dodik, saying that one must go to the place where the Assembly would be held. Although no one knows where it will be or who will organize it. No information. But Milan follows blindly. He was the only one who remained loyal to the idea of unification.

It is interesting that none of the other Vucic’s supporters in Montenegro responded. Neither Andrija Mandic, nor anyone else. Only maybe Dajkovic and Milacic will join Milan. All sabers and decorations given to Kovac, Uljarevic, Madnic are for nothing.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
