There were problems related to the training ship Jadran, unnecessary disagreements with our neighbours, a lot of controversies related to the procurement of ships for the protection of the eastern coast of the Adriatic, that is, a move that belongs to Montenegro as a NATO member, he explained. There were a lot of controversies, with a reason, and a lot of legally unfounded things when it comes to the procedure for the procurement of vessels, he stressed.
The impression that it is an institutional disorder or chaos can also be obtained after the letter that the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapovic sent to the employees, in which he informs them that communication with the cabinets of the members of the Council for Defense and Security and ministers in the Government, is limited to his permission, Vucinic said.
When it was time to replace the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, General Zoran Lazarevic, Vucinic stated that it was difficult not to get the impression that everything had nothing to do with the current political situation. Vucinic explained that General Lazarevic had the highest military education, that he was one of the most capable officers in Montenegro, someone who would be valuable in the armies of NATO member countries.
Speaking about the National Security Agency, Vucinic recalled that it was the umbrella security institution in Montenegro, whose role was very important within the NATO intelligence community.
The fact that Montenegro does not have its representative at the highest state level at the United Nations General Assembly in New York is, according to Vucinic, a demonstration of frivolity.
