On the occasion of national holiday in the USA, president of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic congratulated his US counterpart Donald Trump.
“On behalf of the citizens of Montenegro, I am sending you congratulations on the occasion of the 241st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I also want to convey the best wishes of the citizens of Montenegro for further overall US progress and prosperity of its citizens. On this important occasion, I want to express my greatest respect for the excellent relations between Montenegro and the United States of America. The two countries have always been close allies throughout history. This alliance has been raised to an even higher level after Montenegro joined NATO,” president Vujanovic said in the congratulatory note.
Vujanovic also thanked for the constant support of the United States to Montenegro’s NATO accession.
“It was of great importance for the country’s future, as well as the overall stability of the Western Balkans,” Vujanovic said, adding that he respected Trump’s personal contribution in this regard.
