He will perform his duty in Montenegro on a residential basis.
Mr Vujanovic said he was pleased with the intense and meaningful relations between Montenegro and Turkey in all fields, particularly in the economic sector.
He expects the two countries to improve their relations which have already been at a very high level.
Mr Galip said he was pleased to perform his diplomatic mission in Montenegro – a country which was an example of coexistence and harmony of diversity.
He said that Montenegro deserved invitation to join NATO ant that it would have a strong support from Turkey.
He agreed that the two countries should further improve their relations which would certainly be contributed by the official visit of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to Montenegro.
Vujanovic – Gritsay: Prospect for good relations
In the residence in Cetinje, Mr Vujanovic also received letter of credence of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, Sergey Nikolaevich Gritsay, who will perform his duty in Montenegro on a residential basis too.
Mr Vujanovic wished successful diplomatic mission in Montenegro to Mr Gritsay.
He reminded that Montenegro and Russia had traditionally close relations, adding that hopefully these relations would continue in the future.
In this sense, he stressed intensifying work of the Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation as particularly important.
Mr Gritsay pointed to the centuries long close relations between Montenegro and Russia and expressed his belief that there was a prospect for good relations on this basis.
Possibility for expansion of cooperation with Greece
Mr Vujanovic also received letter of credence of the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Greece, Sotirios Ahtanasiou, who will perform his duty in Montenegro on a residential basis.
Montenegrin President emphasised respect for Greek support for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro.
As he said, that was a continuous support in all areas – form expert support to promoting the need for Montenegro’s membership in these structures.
He also said he expected the already good relations between the two countries to be improved in all fields, particularly in the economic and tourism cooperation.
Mr Ahtanasiou noted that Montenegro had achieved outstanding successes in the process of European integration and that its achievements in the NATO integration were expected to valorise in the invitation which would be supported by Greece.
He agreed that there was room for expansion of economic cooperation, and that his mission in Montenegro would be dedicated primarily to this goal.
