How many times has Mr Adrija Mandić, one of the opposition leaders, called on the citizens to take to the streets for protests and how many times has he promised to bring “this regime” down? Many times, as we all know. But his promises were unfulfilled and any time the situation got out of control, Mr Mandić would just disappear from the protest and go in some restaurant to evade any responsibility.
So much has been said about DF protests organized so far. They all resulted in nothing.
DF doesn’t want to be part of the Committee on the Reform of Electoral Legislation, According to DF, protests are the way to go.
Mr Srđan Vukadinović, political analyst, says that it is just a reflection of political weakness.
“DF and the rest of the opposition had the chance to arrive to some solutions through the reform of electoral legislation. Now, the majority of the opposition members probably won’t agree with new protests. There’s s serious fight between Democrats and DF over the opposition leader. Whoever makes a step will be criticized. DF is calling for a model of political fight that hasn’t produced any result so far”, says Mr Vukadinović.
He thinks that opposition is going around in circles.
“Calls for protests have turned out to be useless. DF is making up some stories that have nothing to do with the reform of electoral legislation. Trial for the terrorism attempt, waiver of immunity, and many other things they mention… nothing can be connected to their will to oust this government. It can only happen in the elections and by citizens’ will”, points out Mr Vukadinović.
Once again, Mr Mandić has called on members of the opposition to make a tour around Montenegro and talk with their supporters in order to organize protests and fight until the very end this time.
