Who kills fish while supervisors are watching

Fish poaching is often assisted by those who should prevent it. According to the NGO Carp Security, a footage recorded in the Skadar Lake National Park over the past few days, which was sent to the CdM portal, clearly proves it. The National Parks has told CdM they have been investigating the allegations, but also urged the NGO sector to call them first whenever they spot something similar before they use old footages to blackmail them. And while we can witness arguments between NGOs and NPCG every day, poachers earn up to 400 euros a day.

The Carp Security NGO told CdM that poachers could catch fish freely in Skadar Lake. They claim that their activists recorded videos in the vicinity of the bridge ‘Tanki Rt’ several days ago, showing poachers doing it in the middle of the day, 500 metres away from the hunting lodge.

They also claim that the new administration doesn’t want to cooperate with the NGO, sport fishermen, lovers of nature and Skadar Lake.
