After the foundations for 23 units of the wind farm at the Mozura hill were excavated at the beginning of September, the wind turbine foundations are being poured today. The 46MW wind farm worth €40m will be constructed on the hill between Bar and Ulcinj.

The investor is a Malta state-owned company that has submitted a €1.5m bank guarantee.

Ring foundations for wind turbines have been transported to the construction site, temporary access roads have been finished and all necessary permits and approvals have been obtained.

There was no expropriation procedure, since the land where the wind farm is planned to be installed is state-owned.

The annual lease price, in accordance with the investor’s offer, amounts to a total of €186,057 or €0.37/m2. It is paid by the investor in four equal instalments.

According to the agreement, the state land has been leased for 20 years.

The state guaranteed that the purchase price of electricity produced in the wind farm would be fixed for the first 12 years of operation and would not be less than €95.99 per megawatt.
According to all analyses, wind farms have no adverse impact on the tourism of some country. What’s more, in some places there has been an increase in the number of tourists visiting the locations of wind farms.
