PM hearts Kristalina

Prime Minister Dusko Markovic met in Sofia this morning (on the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Summit) with the Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank Kristalina Georgieva, stressing the importance of WB’s support in the fiscal consolidation process in Montenegro and the recently signed development policy guarantee agreement in the amount of 80 million euros.

PM Markovic thanked the World Bank for its support with development, which, among other things, contributed to the last year’s strong economic growth of 4.4 percent.

“The CEO of WB congratulated Montenegro on good results in the previous period and this year’s successful Eurobond issue, assessing Montenegro’s achievements as impressive”, the government said in a statement.

At the meeting, the importance of potential cooperation in the future was discussed in projects aimed at simplifying trade and increasing employment in Montenegro and the Western Balkans region.
