Banks in Montenegro are stable, well-capitalized and profitable, said the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), Radoje Zugic, during a meeting with the French Ambassador to Montenegro, Cristian Timonier, and the head of the French Regional Economic Mission, Florence Dobell.
“We are closely monitoring the current events, in order to be prepared for possible market disturbances and preserve the stability of the financial system, which is our basic competence”, said Zugic.
When it comes to the CBCG priorities in terms of strengthening internal capacities, the Governor pointed out that “special attention is paid to further strengthening the staff in the field of supervision and prevention of money laundering”.
