New measures

At today’s press conference, Minister of Health Jelena Borovonić Bojović has stated that café bars with gardens, which are not glazed, can be opened in Podgorica, Bar, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Bijelo Polje, Andrijevica, Pljevlja, Berane, Ulcinj and Cetinje. The gardens will be open until 9 pm. The new measures, which are valid from tomorrow to 9 April, also stipulate that the movement ban is valid from 10pm, instead of 9pm, to 5am. Residents of Podgorica, Cetinje, Tivat, Nikšić, Plužine, Pljevlja, Budva, Kotor, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Herceg Novi, Ulcinj, Šavnik and Mojkovac are prohibited from entering and leaving their territories.

She has pointed out that the working hours of small businesses are also to be extended – shops, salons, boutiques, physiotherapy and beauty salons, as well as craft shops will work until 9pm instead of 8pm.

As of tomorrow, regular operation of hospitality facilities in Budva and Tivat is allowed.

She has added that the number of infected people is declining and that, compared to November, it has been reduced by about 5,000.

The Minister has also said that it is malicious information that, allegedly, the number of those tested on a daily basis decreased by 13%.

Answering the question about the safety of the AstraZeneca vaccine, Minister Borovinić Bojović has reiterated that the risks are negligible in relation to the benefits that immunization brings.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Martin Ćalasan has said that to date, more than 3,500 education employees have applied for vaccination.
