The Savnik local elections in two polling stations repeat today. A total of 541 residents have the right to cast a ballot. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The elections repeat for those voting in the building of the Municipality of Savnik, where 483 residents may vote, and in the village Krusevice, having 58 voters.
Over the previous four election cycles (on 23 Oct. 30 Oct. 6 Nov. and 13 Nov.) voting was interrupted after certain members of the election boards didn’t allow voters to exercise their right to vote.
The spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Milos Nikolic, stated yesterday that his party would file criminal charges against competent bodies that should provide the unhindered election process in case the same thing happens.
