The fact that it was announced yesterday from the European Parliament that its Speaker Roberta Metsola canceled the meeting with Montenegro’s Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic is a diplomatic slap to the ruling and parliamentary majority and a message that Montenegro is not welcome in the European Union with Mandic, according to URA MP Filip Adzic. Mandic is of the opinion that the cancellation of the meeting does not have a negative connotation.
Mandic said that at many addresses where he had said that he wanted Montenegro to join the EU, he stood tall.
As for the meeting at the EP, Mandic stated that he understood what he had received as an explanation for the cancellation.
“I believe that Montenegro will make a big step forward. All of us in Montenegro are expecting it, and all of us in this parliament are working for Montenegro to become a member of the EU as soon as possible. I also make a personal contribution to it, together with the club I belong to”, assured Mandic.
